Unit 7 Where is the post office?
一 教材分析
1.本单元通过学习询问街道上的某一场所的地点,为他人指明去某一场所的路线,学会阐述某一场所的各个建筑物之间的位置关系,利用地图向他人介绍自己所居住的社区。教材内容图文并茂,设计新颖,形式多样,让学生通过为别人指路,培养他们助人为乐的性格,同时增强了交际能力。
2.教学目标
语言目标:
(1) Where引导的特殊疑问句
(2) 表方位的介词
(3) There be句式
能力目标:会问路,指路
情感目标:通过学习,增强交际能力,学会与朋友友好相处,培养乐于助人的性格。
二 教学方法与手段
采用任务型教学模式,指导学生“主动参与,乐于探究”的学习方式,在用中学,学中用。

Step 1:Leading in
1.让两个学生到前面,一个站在另一个旁边
T: Where is A? She is next to B.
2.让两人面对面
T: Where is A? She is across from B.
3.让三个同学一排站好,指着中间的同学
T: Where is A? She is between B and C.
导出本课的学习目标:
利用表方位的介词,我们可以阐述位置关系及为他人指明路线.
In this unit,we learn to ask for and give directions on the street.

1. Match the words with the places in the picture.
2. Read and write the words for a few minutes.
3. Finish 1b. Listen and circle he places you hear in 1a(play the recorder twice)

指着图画中的一个位置,
T:Is there a bank near here? Yes,there is. It’s on Center Street.
利用图画中的其它建筑物,反复联系句型
“Is there ….? Yes,there is. No,there isn’t.”直到学生熟练。
2a 出示课本上的图画,利用图画复习方位词。
T: Open your books on page 38 2a. Match the sentences with the pictures.Write each number in the box.Then check the answers. Ss read the sentences after the teacher.
2b: Listen to the recorder,fill in the blanks with the words in the box.
2c 利用2a中的句型练习:T: Where is the library?
S: It’s between the bank and the supermarket.
将提前板书好的句型2b出示,对介词短语进行提问,让学生反复练习此句型,一问一答,直到熟练交谈。
利用1a中的图画,练习句型“Where’s….? It’s…..”,并能用此句型熟练的谈论1a中的建筑物的位置关系。

复习语法栏目。

Ask students to underline the phrases:go straight,turn left,on the right,next to
Point to the two arrows,ask Ss to repeat left and right.
Ask Ss to read the conversations again. Then ask them to find Paul and Mary in the picture.

Then ask Ss to match each word or phrases on the list with one of the pictures.
Check the answer.
